Some love stories start with fireworks.
Ours started with burgers.
We met at In-N-Out on Josiah’s 16th birthday after a Carson High vs. Douglas Football game. From the moment we met, Josiah knew Liz was special. So, naturally, he started asking her out. A lottttt. (a “t” for each time)
But Liz kept saying no.
Still, Josiah was persistent—and patient. On Liz’s 18th birthday, he asked again… and this time, she said yes.
Our first date was at Glen Eagles, and Josiah was so nervous he could barely hold his fork—his hands were shaking! But that night kicked off something amazing.
Life’s moved quickly in the best ways. We both graduated high school. Liz earned her associate's degree. Josiah chased his dream and moved across the country to become a farrier—first to Oklahoma, then to Texas.
During those years, we traveled together, laughed, together, and grew together. We have made it a tradition to go to the NFR in Las Vegas every year. Those rodeo weekends have become some of our favorite memories together.
Then came May 3rd. While visiting Josiah in Texas, they took a trip to Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Josiah asked one more question. And this time, Liz said yes to forever.
Now, we’re getting ready to say "I do" and start our greatest adventure yet: marriage, life in Texas, and writing the next chapters of our story—together.
Thanks for being part of our journey. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
